2022 Prince Kuhio Commemorative Service

On March 26, 2022 a small ceremony was held to honor Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Piikoi. This year’s event was held without guests and included presentation of hookupu on behalf of our community partners. Mahalo to everyone who participated with offerings of hookupu, lei, and song. As stewards of Kuhio’s birthplace and organizers of this annual event, we look forward to returning to our traditional public event format in 2023.

Prince Kuhio Day

Each year in March, the Royal Order of Kamehameha I, Kaumualiʻi Chapter 3 honors Prince Kuhio around the time of his birthday. Partnering organizations are invited to pay respect in offers of lei, song, and fellowship.
